About Us
Brent Woolf | CPA
Brent joined Ohio Valley Accounting and Tax Services in 2017. Brent is a graduate of Youngstown State University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in accounting. He is a licensed CPA with the state of Ohio. Prior to joining OVATS, Brent worked for an agricultural commodity trading, export, and processing firm in a variety of trading and managerial roles. In the fall of 2023, Brent and his wife, Teryn, completed the purchase of OVATS from Tom and Pam Carnahan. They look forward to the opportunity to work with the Minerva community and surrounding areas in the future.
Brent's primary duties at OVATS include individual and business tax consultation, IRS notice resolution, business analysis, and accounting needs of clients. Brent, Teryn, and their five children - William, Hazel, Calvin, Silas, and Frances - reside near Winona, Ohio.
Thomas M. Carnahan | CPA
Tom and his wife Pam had been the owners of Ohio Valley Accounting and Tax Service for over 40 years. They are pleased to have the business now in the capable hands of Brent and his staff.
Tom graduated from Kent State University in 1979 with a BBA in Accounting and has thoroughly enjoyed working with many clients over the years. Tom will continue to do personal income tax returns.
Tom and Pam have two adult daughters and four grandchildren and love spending time with them. Travel is also in the plans as Tom is reducing his time in the day-to-day business. They reside outside of Hanoverton.
Seth Williams
Seth joined Ohio Valley Accounting and Tax Services in October 2022. Seth earned an Associate's Degree at Eastern Gateway University in 2021, majoring in business management. He is currently in the process of becoming an Enrolled Agent, which will allow him to represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service. Before working with OVATS, Seth worked in management for Fresh Mark in Massillon, Canton, and Salem.
Seth's primary responsibilities include preparing payroll for clients, filing payroll taxes and preparing tax returns. Seth, his wife, and their children live outside of Lisbon, Ohio.
Christine Hardman
Christine Hardman joined Ohio Valley Accounting and Tax Services in March of 2023 to provide administrative assistance. She holds an Associate's Degree in Human Resource Management from Stark State University and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree in Labor & Human Resource from Penn State University World Campus. With 7 years of experience in the HR and administrative field, Christine combines her academic knowledge with practical expertise to drive organizational excellence.
Residing in Minerva, she shares her life with her husband, Vince, and their two children: Victor and Violet.

Ohio Valley works with a variety of businesses, ranging from a European antiquities retailer to a small manufacturing firm that contracts with NASA.
