Tom graduated from Kent State University in 1978 with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. Over the next few years, he worked in both public accounting and as an accountant in industry. In 1982, Tom joined his father in Ohio Valley Accounting. Tom later took over as the managing partner of the business, and he has continued to oversee the daily operations and growth of Ohio Valley since that time.
Tom and his wife, Pam, live near Hanoverton, Ohio, and have two adult daughters and two granddaughters. Pam joins the Ohio Valley team every year during tax season and lends a hand in a variety of roles to keep things running smoothly. Both Tom and Pam value the relationships they have established with their clients and the local community, and they look forward to the opportunity to continue serving the accounting and tax needs of the area over the coming years.
Brent is the most recent addition to Ohio Valley, having joined the team in May of 2017. Brent is a graduate of Youngstown State University, from which he earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a major in accounting. He is currently enrolled in the Masters of Science in Accounting Program at Kent State University and is concentrating his studies in taxation. Prior to joining Ohio Valley, Brent worked for an agricultural commodity trading, export and processing firm in a variety of trading and managerial roles.
Brent’s primary duties at Ohio Valley will include individual and business tax consultation, IRS notice resolution, business analysis, and filling in the gaps when needed. He is working toward his CPA certification with the goal of having the process completed by the summer of 2018. Brent and his family - his wife, Teryn, and their two children, William and Hazel - reside near Winona, Ohio.
Sue joined Ohio Valley in an administrative role during tax season of 1995, and has been working with the firm dutifully ever since. Sue continues to manage many of the administrative functions of the office; in addition, she focuses on payroll services that the firm provides to its business clients.
Sue and her husband, Richard, reside near East Rochester, Ohio, where they enjoy spending time with their family, especially their seven grandchildren.
Ohio Valley works with a variety of businesses, ranging from a European antiquities retailer to a small manufacturing firm that contracts with NASA.
